We can get you set up with a top-quality roof basket that is quiet, durable and sleek looking for your 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe. First though you will need a roof rack, since you mentioned you had roof rails, as it sounds like you have the flush-mounted rails without a rack.
There is one rack that fits your '19 Santa Fe with these rails, and it comes from Rhino-Rack, a manufacturer known for combining quality and price, making it the best value. The parts that fit your Santa Fe and make... view full answer...
The Thule Canyon XT Roof Cargo Basket item # TH859XT-8591XT you were looking at includes the 20" extension piece item # TH8591XT. This makes the basket 69" long x 40" wide x 6" tall instead of only 49" long. This roof basket will attach to your 2022 Toyota Highlander LE's factory crossbars. view full answer...
Mike, the Yakima SkinnyWarrior Roof Rack Cargo Basket # Y07014 and all other roof baskets are going to mount using the universal mounting system which will clamp around existing crossbars. view full answer...
Hey Tami, so since your 2021 Toyota Highlander has the flush mount rails, your only option for adding a cargo basket will be to first add a roof rack with crossbars. I suggest going with a Rhino Rack Aero Bar roof rack, which will consist of the following parts:
- Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars # RRVA126B-2
- RCH Legs for Rhino-Rack Crossbars # RRRCH4
- Custom RCP Fit Kit # RR66QT
From there you can add really any cargo basket of your choice. Our best low profile option is the Flint... view full answer...
Yes, there are four options to add a cargo basket directly to a set of raised roof rails. I have listed them below:

Hey Paul!
I have a great roof rack and cargo basket combination for you, but according to my research it won't be safe for you to lift the hard top on your 2023 Jeep Gladiator via the roof rack, and a lot of people in Jeep forums agree with me as well. Roof racks are designed to have weight press down on them and they are made accordingly. The parts of the roof rack that connect to the vehicle aren't designed to lift up, but rather support everything above them.
With all that being said,... view full answer...
For a bag to use with your # TH859XT I recommend the Thule Interstate Rooftop Cargo Bag # TH869. This has fairly similar dimensions at 40" long x 38" wide so it will fit nicely inside of the Canyon XT. This has 16 cubic feet of space with a TPE construction and IP-X3 water resistance rating to keep your gear dry. view full answer...
Mike, the Yakima SkinnyWarrior Roof Rack Cargo Basket # Y07014 you're looking at is not going to work with your TruXedo Elevate Rack # TX76NV because this cargo basket is only going to work with crossbar spreads of 24-38" which would be less than the 4' spread you have.
Instead, you'd need to use a larger cargo basket like the Thule Canyon XT Roof Cargo Basket # TH859XT-8591XT which will work since it has a larger crossbar spread range. view full answer...
The Surco Safari Rack 5.0 # S5072 is the correct model for your 2017 Chevy Tahoe. However, you won't be able to mount this using your existing rails. What you need is the Surco Roof Rail Adapters for Factory Roof Racks # R6200 along with the Adapter for Surco Safari Roof Racks # SPCH100.
The correct floor kit for this basket is the # SU46SR. The Ax and Shovel Carrier # SPAX100 will also fit. We do not have a folding ladder specifically made for this rack. You could use something like... view full answer...
The clamps on the Yakima OffGrid Roof Cargo Basket # Y07138 fairing should simply squeeze together once you flex them around the bar. I would make sure they're correctly aligned. Zip ties might work but I would check with Yakima before I attempted an alternate fix to secure the fairing. If you're able to squeeze them together and they are coming undone after then you might try something like Loctite to keep them together permanently. view full answer...
Yes, Jerry. You are going to be able to safely use the SportRack Vista Rooftop Cargo Bag # SR8106 inside your Flint Hill Goods Roof Cargo Basket # FHG74ZR. view full answer...
The Yakima LoadWarrior Roof Rack Cargo Basket # Y07070 fits a crossbar spread of 24"-32". Since it sounds like you have a 33" crossbar spread you will need to add in the extension # Y07074. With the extension added in your LoadWarrior will fit a crossbar spread of 30"-50" so it will work with your roof rack. view full answer...
The Surco Safari Rack 5.0 Rooftop Cargo Basket for Factory Rails listed below all come with adapters that clamp around factory raised rails. They just grip the rails then bolt into the bottoms of the baskets.
60" Long x 50" Wide - Surco Safari Rack 5.0 Rooftop Cargo Basket for Factory Rails item # SPS5060-1101
60" Long x 45" Wide - Surco Safari Rack 5.0 Rooftop Cargo Basket for Factory Rails item # SPS4560-1101

Replacing all of the plastic plugs with the Thule One-Key System Lock Cylinders item # TH450400 would be a better option though. It'll secure the Thule Canyon Basket item # TH859XT to your roof rack and help prevent theft.
I wasn't able to find any universal keyed locking caps that fit the Canyon Basket. view full answer...
Hi there Abe, thanks for the question and the answer is yes. Yakima HD crossbars are 100% compatible with and allow you to mount the Yakima OffGrid Roof Cargo Basket # Y07138-08.
I verified with Yakima that you will not need any type of adapter or other clamps, the OffGrid will work with the HD bars as-is. view full answer...
Hey Jaime, yes it does look like that the Yakima DeckHand Kayak Roof Rack w/ Tie-Downs # Y04083-2, Yakima SkinnyWarrior Roof Rack Cargo Basket # Y07014, and the Yakima HighRoad Roof Bike Rack # Y68DJ should work with the Yakima Rack and Roll Trailer # Y08107.
This trailer has a max spread of 48", so theoretically everything should fit without knowing the width of your kayak. view full answer...
Thanks for reaching out, Dan!
The Inno Roof Deck Platform Rack # INA510 comes with Memory Mount Clamps that will fit perfectly to the 50" Malone AirFlow2 Roof Rack # MAL74AR on your 2023 Subaru Forester. You can use the Aero Crossbar T-Slot Mounting Hardware # INBRP12 if you'd like, but it isn't necessary for this application.
I've actually had the opportunity to install this a handful of times and it's my favorite cargo basket/platform that we carry due to how easy it is to install!

Hey Dewey,
The Flint Hill Goods 30" x 50" Wheelchair Carrier w/ 60" Ramp # FHG99ZR has a 500lb capacity so it likely could handle the weight of your generator and two e-bikes, but at 30" x 50" you won't have enough space for all three. With e-bikes you'd likely have to use a hitch mounted bike rack and have to store the generator up on a roof mounted basket. If this is something you'd be good with doing then I'll need to know the year/make/model of the vehicle to find the right components. view full answer...
